Traditional · DignifiedBurial services in Mackay
A traditional burial, arranged with care from the first phone call to the graveside. We handle every detail across Mackay's cemeteries — or your family's own chosen place of rest — so you can focus on saying goodbye.

A dignified, time-honoured farewell
For many families, burial is a deeply meaningful tradition — a permanent place to visit, remember and reflect. We arrange every element: the coffin or casket, the ceremony, the cemetery, and the graveside service.
We arrange burials at council cemeteries across Mackay and the Whitsundays — including Mount Bassett, Walkerston, Sarina, Proserpine and Bowen — and can arrange lawn or monumental graves, burials in existing family plots and later headstones.

Cemeteries across Mackay & the Whitsundays
We look after the council paperwork and liaise directly with cemetery staff, so you never need to contact council yourself. Cemetery fees are passed on at the exact council cost.
Mount Bassett Cemetery, Mackay
Mackay Regional Council’s only cemetery with a lawn section, along with monumental sections, columbarium walls and the Garden of Memories.
Mackay Cemetery, West Mackay
The heritage-listed Mackay Cemetery on Cemetery Road now accepts burials only in existing family plots. If your family has a plot there, we will arrange everything with council.
Walkerston, Marian, Mirani West & Sarina
Monumental cemeteries serving the Pioneer Valley and the south, each with columbarium walls. Walkerston is the only council cemetery in the Mackay region where a vault can be built.
Proserpine, Bowen & Collinsville
The three active Whitsunday Regional Council cemeteries. Proserpine and Bowen both offer lawn and columbarium sections, and our Proserpine office makes arrangements easy for Whitsunday families.
Lawn or monumental?
A lawn grave has a flat plaque set into the grass for a peaceful, park-like setting. A monumental grave allows a full headstone. What is available depends on the cemetery, and we will explain the options and costs before you decide.
Keeping families together
Mackay Regional Council does not usually sell plots in advance, but one adjoining grave can be reserved at the time of a burial so a partner can later rest alongside. Existing family plots can also take up to four ashes interments.
Headstones & plaques
Most families wait some months before adding a headstone or plaque. When you are ready, we can put you in touch with local monumental masons and help with council approval.
